....also think about applying to University of Miami and Tulane as Well, any thoughts or chances on those colleges?

and if any of those colleges seem out of reach, what colleges do you recommend that would be in reach for me?

i would really appreciate all input :)

Based on what I have seen in the official UMich chances thread, (and I am assuming you’re an OOSer), the ACT score and GPA really aren’t what this college seems to look for.

ECs are very strong, though. But like I said, the GPA and ACT score really aren’t helping your case. I don’t think you have much of a chance of acceptance.

Like I said in the other thread…

So now you have someone that thinks you have little chance. Are you not going to apply? Just send in your stuff and see what happens. If you don’t get in you will be disappointed, of course. But you know that is a distinct possibility, so you are at least ready for that outcome.

straight up fallenchemist, best answer i’ve received…

great advice and thanks :)

i don’t know, you’re black, so that’s gonna be a major hook. plus your ECs look good. hopefully those 2 factors help to overlook the GPA/ACT stuff. good luck!

collegebound - you are welcome. I truly wish you the best of luck. You will end up someplace great, I am sure. College is 90% what you make it, not what it makes you. There are great opportunities in many places.
