Chances of getting internship at Big4 while attending Bowling Green State University?

Currently, I am a senior in high school and recently got accepted to BGSU. I plan on majoring in accounting and plan to do the very best I can in college. (I am sort of the over achiever type person.) That being said, I am wondering if this school is good for accounting and whether or not the Big 4 recruit from there. Assuming that I do well in school (3.5+ GPA) and am involved in business clubs and other leadership roles, do I stand a good chance of landing an internship/interview with one of the Big 4? I am asking this question because I have been doing some research and everything I read says that you have to make it in the Big 4 to be successful in accounting, is this true?

Please, I am open to any and all advice regarding the above questions.
Thanks :)

Here’s some info on the school’s intern program

I live in Toledo (close to BGSU) and get the inclination that firms around there recruit largely from UT and BGSU. Outside of northern/central OH and southeast MI, recruiting power tapers off.

Thank you for the link. Do you by any chance know how often students get recruited by the Big 4 from BGSU?

I’d ask to meet with a member of the BGSU acct faculty for more info on that. Though, I do know that Toledo (closest major city to BGSU) has PwC and E&Y offices. Being someone who’s associated with E&Y and knows a few people in E&Y Toledo, the people there that I know all went to University of Toledo. Therefore, I’d also look there.
