hi, I got a 1360 on my sat but my rank is not in the top 25% because my school is extremely competitive, i am around top 28% but it is going to show on there as “2nd quarter”. I am really worried because i heard it is hard to get into a&m as a review admit. I have good extracurriculars and volunteer/work experience. Do i still have a chance?
@deeps123 The competitiveness of your high school is not taken into consideration for your university admissions. A&M wants to see how well you competed against your peers with access to all the same resources.
A transcript analyst goes over every transcript. Everything is given a value and algorithms chart each applicant. A review applicant file can be reviewed many times before an admission decision is made. There have been second quarter applicants that receive full admissions as well as Gateway or Blinn Team, though it is a small % overall.
