Also my sister is an alumni at UC Berkeley if that counts. Not sure what to write for my personal statement yet, but I’ve had a tough childhood (abuse, mental illness) but I’m not sure if I’ll mention that in my application bc that did affect my grades but I’m not sure if colleges would want to read anything like that. It’s sorta risky to write about.

Your sister attending UCB, has no impact Best chances at UCD/UCSB/UCI/UCSC/UCR and UCM. Intended major would be helpful.

Im fine with any. I was just wondering if I had any chance of getting into UCLA or UCB. Those are probably a stretch.

Bump up your scores and UCLA or UCB could be possible. Essays and EC’s will contribute to your application which are subjective. There is no reason not to apply since if you don’t you will never know.

Your stats sit right at around UC Davis and Santa Barbara.

My friend got into UCB this year with a 1560 SAT out of 2400!! ANYTHING is possible!

Really? What was her gpa and extracurriculars though?
