Chances of getting into Andover with these SSAT scores?

I got my SSAT scores back today and I did worse than I expected...
(This is for the total 8th grade percentile)
Verbal: 93 (752)
Math: 91 (761)
Reading: 82 (701)
Overall: 92 (Total: 2214)
Have been doing ballet for 10 years. (Have performed with a professional company)
Play the piano.
Interview: 10/10 (My interviewer even introduced me to another person to talk about my interest in dance and he called me extroverted and that Andover would benefit from me)
Grades have been in the A+/A/A- range since 6th grade.

I know that the average overall grade they take in is 93-94 and that they look for a well rounded student who has more things to offer etc. If I deliver an outstanding application and write great essays, do I still have a chance or should I retake it in December?

If you would like to take it again in December, then do it. Your scores are really good though, and Andover does not take test scores of >94. That 94%ile is their average SSAT score, meaning they have many above that and many below that. You have a very good looking application, and I wish best of luck to you! Don’t stress.

Your SSAT scores are great. Your score puts you in the mix for Andover. If you don’t get in it won’t be as a result of that score. More important will be things such as financial aid status, extra curriculars, where you live and other things. As has been said thousands of times, you just never know. Even with a 99% SSAT there is no guarantee.
