Chances of getting into Berkeley as a transfer (3.5 GPA)???

Hi everyone,

I know these kinds of questions (especially when it comes to UC Berkeley) are extremely subjective and have been done before, but I thought I would just post my stats and see if any of you could offer me any hints to as what you think my chances are on getting admitted to UC Berkeley as a California Community College transfer.

GPA: 3.55
IGETC: Completed
62 units completed by time of transfer
Major: Political Science
Med/High Income
1st Gen. College Student
LGBT Student

Volunteer Experience
-100+ hours on a statewide campaign before becoming an intern
-25+ hours on a congressional campaign
-6 hours on a local bond campaign
-15 hours on another local bond campaign

Extracurricular Activities
-6 months on a statewide campaign as a head intern
-Summer internship for a US Senator
-Vice President of my Community College Senate for 1 Year/Senator for 1 semester prior
-Officer of a campus club
-Member of my High School’s leadership program for 2 years.

Lastly to address my GPA: I had a terrible first semester, where I had only taken 4 classes and received all Bs and 1 C. Since then, my grades have trended upwards. My last semester I enrolled in 18 units and got straight As. This trend was something I made sure of addressing in my PIQS.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/transfers-major says that transfer admits to UCB for political science had 3.62-3.94 GPA (25th-75th percentile), with an admit rate of 33%. You should consider it a reach, although an upward trend is more favorable than otherwise.
