Chances of getting into BU?

Hi there,
I’m a rising senior and I would really like to go to Boston University or Northeastern.

Gender: Female
Family status: Single mother

Stats:
GPA: 3.82 unweighted with a rigorous course load (difficulties freshman year with ADD and family)
ACT: 25 (I understand this is low, I have ADD and have difficulty with timed tests but plan on retaking in the fall at least two more times)

ECs:

High School -
President of Diversity Club, Founding President of OHS Outreach (community service club), President of NHS, Spanish Club Member, German Club Member, Link Crew Leader, Leadership Team for Model UN, played women’s lacrosse sophomore year

International Organizations-
Journalism intern for High School Illustrated, Broadreach Alumni Ambassador Award, EF Tours Travel Ambassador (filmed a promotional video in Greece, after over 300 applied only 7 were selected to go)

Intended majors: International Relations and Modern Languages

Considering you don’t have anything incredibly spectacular in your extra-curriculars, i would say you have no chance at northeastern, and a very small chance at Boston University. If you are serious about going to these schools, you need to raise your act score to the 30’s

Hi, I think you’d need to retake the ACT, or try our the SAT to get in! Also, try to boost your GPA, and depending on the rigor of your courses you are definitely a good candidate for BU!
