Chances of getting into Chem or Petrol Engineering?

Hi,

I am a junoir in high school and I am looking to attend Texas Tech for chem or petro eng. I have looked everywhere but can't seem to find stats on admissions into the chemical engineering program. I was wondering what my chances are of being admited.

ACT:27 (28 on math if that helps)
SAT:1160 CR and math
SAT total:1660
I stil have a year to raise these.

Class rank:17/301 5.6%
3.6 GPA unweighted
4.6 weighted

AP Calc
AP Eng
Ap Chem
Dual credit US history

Varsity in baseball and football. NHS member

I know this isn’t a scientific answer, but take it anyway;
“You’re probably getting in.”

You’re top 8% and the ChemE program isn’t way overbooked like PE is right now. Just keep doing your homework and we’ll see you in a year or so.

Engineering is not competitive at all. They’ll accept you and put you in foundational engineering. You’ll need 3.0 or 3.2 with 15 TTU Credits, for ChemE or PetE, respectively. U meet that requirement then they’ll approve you as ChemE/PetE to take their degree plan.
