I already know my chances of getting into the urbana-champaign campus are slim to none but i was wondering if anybody can tell me what my chances are of getting into the chicago campus. Heres my info..

Just finished junior year in high school
GPA: 4.16 (5-point scale)
ACT: 23 (Composite)
Ranked in top 30% of my class.
No extra-curricular activities

I have all the course requirements except foriegn language, but i already speak another language and have taken a lot of electives instead. Would this lower my chances of getting accepted?

Is that weighted or unweighted GPA. We need to no that for sure to give you advice. I'm sort of the same as you. My UW GPA is a 3.05 (4 point scale) and W GPA is a 3.16. However my best ACT score is a 30, my worst is a 26. When it comes to school ec's I have only 1 year of matheletes. Yet, I have completed a 1 year hospital internship in the ER with 20 hrs a week, plus I have about 50 volunteer hours, trying to get about 50 more before I apply around September. Your best bet is to apply early around September, do some volunteer work somewhere before you apply and register for the september act to improve your score. Also work hard on your essay's and teacher recs. I would say that you could easily get in but that act score and no ec's kind of really hurt.

I recommend doing something to fill up those EC lines. You still have time to do some volunteering over the summer. Or you can maybe try to find a job whether its waiting tables or researching at a science lab. Also, you should take the SAT2 for the foreign language that you speak

if you improve your act score by 1- 2 points get some volunteer work (its not hard everyone is looking for volunteers) apply early you could even get into urbana if you go into LAS. Make sure to take the act again on sept 16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! deadline day for sign up is aug 18!!!!!!!!!! good luck
