Hi everyone, I'm a first time poster here.
I was wondering what are some good pre-med programs in the US? I'd like to be a OB/GYN in the future. I'm not looking to get into any ivies due to my poor SAT scores. Any help is appreciated!

Tons of colleges in the US have “good pre-med programs”. What are you SAT scores (if they really are “poor”, you can take it again in the fall)? What is your GPA? What are your extracurriculars? What do you think you want to major in? Remember that “pre-med” is not a major. Many pre-meds major in things like Biology or Chemistry, but you don’t have to.

What do you want in a college- liberal arts college, technical (math/science/engineering) college, traditional “university” (with many “schools”- arts&sciences, engineering, art, business…); what size (under 2000, 5000-10000, at least 30000…); what location (climate- warm and sunny; cold snowy winters; in a city, near a city, suburban, or rural); what kinds of extracurriculars (athletic teams, clubs, research opportunities) are important to you? Will you require financial aid?

My SAT Score is 1560 [CR:530, M:520, W:510, E:8]
That is my SAT score after taking the Kaplan prep course for 3 months. I’m planning to retake them but I highly doubt I will do anything better than a 700 or 800 in each of them.

I’m taking SAT II’s in June for Biology, and I will take Math II and Japanese in the fall.

ECs:

I did an internship at a public relations company.

Did cheerleading for 2 years (Freshmen JV, Sophomore V). I moved schools and my new school doesn’t have a cheerleading team.

Abot Kamay my freshmen year.

Habitat for Humanity my sophomore year.

I am now currently enrolled in National Honors Society and the Disciplinary committee.

I was admitted in the ELC program for UC schools for being in the top 4% of the school.

My GPA is currently about a 3.7 and weighted, 4.17

I’d like to go to a traditional university. The climate doesn’t matter, and the size doesn’t really matter also - but more towards medium to large :)

I will not need financial aid.
