Junior

I haven't taken any of my SAT-II's yet, but I'm planning to take those after AP testing
Most likely SAT-II Chemistry, SAT-II Math IIC, SAT-II US History

GPA: 3.93 Unweighted

Class Ranking: 3/317

Classes this year:
APUSH
AP Chemistry
AP Statistics
English 3 Honors
Trig/Pre-Calc
Accounting

*I was supposed to take French 3 this year, but because my school only offered French 3 7th period, and AP Chemistry was only offered 7th period, I was forced to choose between the two. I'm also taking AP Chemistry at a school in my district about 15 minutes away because my high school does not offer it. So I have to spend my lunchtime driving there.

Classes my senior year:
AP English
AP Physics
AP Calculus AB
AP Government
French 3
3-D Design 1

** I had to take a Fine Art to graduate.

Extracurriculars:
ASB Class Secretary Freshman and Sophomore Years
Key Club Publicity Chair my Sophomore Year
Key Club Treasurer my Junior Year
CSF/Honor Society Vice President Sophomore and Junior Years
Business Club President Junior Year
[probably Senior Year as well since I am the founder]
Varsity Tennis player since Freshman Year co-captain my Junior Year, will be captain again next year
Certificate of Merit for Piano (Level 10)
Read to Exceed [Gold and Silver Scholar. Platinum Scholar next year]

I would also like to add that since my school doesn't have a Business Club/FBLA [as many of you might notice, my school lacks a lot of things], that is a club I started this year, in hopes of just getting some members by the end of this year and then forming an FBLA my Senior Year. I am really interested in all the competitions FBLA has - not only because of the awards, but they genuinely sound interesting and fun to me [this probably sounds nerdy haha].

Thank you to anyone that reads through this and leaves a response!

best of luck, you have a good chance (50/50). you sound really chill and not obnoxious.

^hahahaha...

you seem to be on track, pretty well rounded, i see no reason why you wouldn't get in, you have the sort of profile that columbia would be content to take, good grades, good scores, good balance of activities, and some initiative and leadership, you don't have anything absolutely outstanding, but many who get in don't. I think if essays and recs are good, you have a good chance. My two cents is do something more to stand out if you can, like what are your summer plans? you have a good 9 months before you send in your app. like go start/do a service project over the summer, or run a small business and send some of the proceeds for charity, if you're creative and hard working with what you do, you can really stand out.
