I think you have a good chance (although I don’t get your gpa either). You might want to check the official RD results for last year or this year’s ED results if you’re that curious. I’m too lazy to post my own stats, but hopefully we’ll both get in.

I’d put your chances at above 50% (which is good considering the average is 20%). Keep in mind that 80% of those who apply are “admissible” and you are definitely well within that range. Even if you don’t get into Cornell, I’d bet you’d definitely get into at least a few top 20 schools.

^what do you mean by admissible? that their stats are up to par with cornell? If that’s what you mean, how do you know? i’m just curious because 80% seems kind of high to me… i would think more toward 50%.

I remember the 80% when I was a pre-frosh from the admissions people. Basically it means that your scores/academic background are strong enough that they think you’d be successful at Cornell.

Your stat’s and EC’s are great - perfect for AEM. The only thing I would worry about is that Cornell might think they are your second or third Ivy league choice. They might think you went for something else ED or EA and didn’t get it, so you’re looking at Cornell. Write your essays with passion for Cornell specifically - that is really important for the “fit” piece! I know - my daughter was accepted ED and it was really all about fit and love of the school - really wanting to be THERE and not settling.
