Chances of getting into Cosmos?

New here. I’ve been interested in applying to a Cosmos cluster for engineering. Probably at UC Davis or Irvine. I just wanted to know if I should even bother.as so far I don’t think I have any chance. If it is Davis it is cluster 3 and if it is Irvine it will be cluster 1.

GPA: 3.93

The only Math and or Science teachers I have that could give me recommendations are from college prep classes. Unless I can get one from one of my teachers from Junior year, but for now let’s just assume the worst.

I have not taken any engineering type classes other than robotics if that even counts for anything.

I don’t have to apply for the engineering one, but I believe that would be the most interesting. Again just please let me know if I should even bother. Thanks.

Extracurriculars? Awards? Course Rigor?

JV and Varsity baseball, around fifty volunteer hours but will be more by the time I actually apply, helping out in a charity club for a year, that’s about it so far.

As far as awards: none.

AP’s: AP Computer Science. Next year: AP Physics 1 and 2, AP Lang, AP USH, AP Pre-Calc

Once again, I am not expected for this to be easy, just wondering if I have the slightest chance.

I got waitlisted at UCI COSMOS this year for some chemistry cluster. Here are my stats at the time of application:
UW GPA: 3.706
W GPA: 4.0
PSAT: 200
SAT: 2210
Honors: Chem, Lit, Chinese, Pre-Calc H
AP: Chinese (5), Chem, APUSH
ECs: Science Olympiad (several medals), Track, Tennis, Volunteering (~30 ish hours), Chemistry Olympiad top 2 at my school, DECA.
Awards: DECA award, lots of SciOly medals.
Recs: Pre-Calc H: much to be satisfied, but still ok.
AP Chem: pretty good.
Essays: mehhh

If you take a look at my GPA (that’s right. look at it and think about it), anyone has really any chance for it.

Pre calcs not ap eugene

Ok well thanks for the insight, I appreciate it.
