I'm trying to transfer to Hunter College from a 2 year community college. I have 18 credits and 3.76 gpa. But because I have less than 30 credits they're going to look at my high school transcript and I wasn't a good student in high school my gpa was 1.7. So what are my chances here, be honest please.

help a girl out here??

From my situation, Im about to transfer to several different CUNY as well. The Problem with transferring with under 30 credits is based on where you transfering and how it going to be evaulated. In addition, [Welcome to TIPPS](http://tipps.cuny.edu/) site tell what course you have taken that are equivalent to the courses you have taken at your community college. However, it doesn’t tell the student how much is going be accepted. Oh, possibility of getting into Hunter College. Is based on how Hunter’s admission office evaluates your credits. Hunter requires at least a 3.03 GPA.
I’m a student that attend a community college as well and I’m about to start my transfer application after I received at least more than 20 credits. I have to see several advisors and transfer coordinator before I start my transfer application.
My advice would be if you transfer with an associates degree CUNY will still take credits away and some courses would have to be taken over. My councilor told me, she transferred from Hunter to Queens College with 36 credits and Queens only accepted 18. So the earlier you start the better to be on track toward your program. Just go to Hunters admission office and ask them how your transcript will be evaluated. Plus with a 1.7 isnt that bad my friend used his transcript from Brooklyn tech and he had a 2.1. Just give it a try.
