Chances of getting into Drexel

I applied and they got all my documents on Nov.10th to the 3 co-op program for Engineering.
The one thing worrying me are my grades because they haven't been too great through high school =/
I have a 3.68 GPA Weighted and 2.91 unweighted as of the end of my junior year
I have a 1950 on my SAT's (640 Reading , 670 Math, 640 Writing)
I have 150 volunteer hours at a veterans home, 50 hours of interning for a senator's election campaign and 30 hours from a library.
I've been working part-time jobs through high school. I've been a shift manager at one deli for a year and a half, and after that have worked at 2 other deli's if that matters at all.
and I played drums in marching band for 4 years and sent in a teacher rec and a counselor rec

What are my chances of getting in, and about how long would it take to get a response?

I think you may have a pretty good shot at it. I applied with an 1840/2400 on the SATs and a 3.8 weighted GPA. I’m pretty sure Drexel only looks at the weighted GPA, and yours seems to be up to Drexel’s standards. Also, your SAT scores look great. Drexel received everything on 10/27 and they accepted me on 11/16. Your activities seem good, especially the volunteering hours. I too volunteered at a hospital and I earned 325 volunteering hours from there, and then I took up an internship over the 2011 summer and earned an additional 125 hours. I also participate in various clubs at high school, such as TSA, Key Club, etc.

Overall, I’d say you have a pretty good shot at it and you should hear back within a month at most. Good luck, and update us if you get accepted :).

congratulations  ! and thanks a lot, it made me feel a little more relaxed to hear that lol

Haha yeah I know what you mean. I posted in the Pittsburgh main campus forum for people to chance me, and every waiting day seems like a year, since Pitt is my number one choice as of now. It’s so nerve wracking >_<! Good luck on your future admissions and let us know when you hear back from Drexel!
