Chances of getting into Duke - Please help!

Hey everyone, thanks for helping out, I'm worrying my brains out right now.

I've decided to apply to Duke University for my early decision. I'm an international high school senior studying in a private international school in Hong Kong, and we do the IB curriculum. I have 3 higher levels and 3 standard levels, and my latest transcript reads 38/42 (rank top 15% in our grade). I'm an established pianist (passed every exam in Royal College of Music and Trinity College - both in UK) and trombonist. I've been part of a select Southeast Asia wind ensemble band at 1st trombone for 6 straight years, and numerous school bands. I won Band Member of the Year once. I have also been promoted to bandleader in our jazz band. Also school DJ.

In sports, I've been part of the school's varsity basketball team since middle school, and has been in the starting lineup throughout the years. I have joined the rugby varsity team and the cross-country varsity team for the last 2 years, as well as a water-polo team last year.

I'm also a photographer with 2 years of experience, including paid jobs and charity school events, and have a large portfolio to back it up. In our school, community service is required, so I do a lot of old folks' home visits and performance at charity events as such.

My best individual SAT sections are (in two sittings):
CR: 630
M: 710
W: 690
Total: 2030

I only took one SAT II in Math Ic: 710

I'm planning to take three more: Physics, Chinese, and Math IIc in November.

I'm really worrying my brains out, 'cause I'm getting a lot of pressure from my parents and friends. I'm still working on my essays.

Thanks for reading, I really appreciate this!

Good luck to everyone else!

Good chance, but I will guess that it’s super-hard to get in from Hong Kong. Make sure your essays are stellar to give yourself the best possible shot. Good Luck!
