Chances of getting into Florida for the Fall 2015 semester?

So I want to apply to Florida as a reach school. I have a few questions. Is an admissions interview available? Also is there any major that will give me an edge? (I already know I'm double majoring in Finance and Accounting). Are there anything at all that will give you an edge over other applicants? Here is my information:

3.81 Weighted GPA (12 APs and Honors)
3.3 Unweighted GPA (Top 33 percent of my class)
Junior Year GPA 4.2 (Grades have an upward trend)
25 Composite ACT score (Took one time after SATs), 1700 SAT score (600 math, 560 Reading) (Planning to take again because I know I can do better. Also when I do, which one should I retake?)

Work at Best Buy
-Since Junior Year
-Gold-Certified Customer Service Specialist
-Created training manual that Best Buy incorporated into their company
-Ranked #1 Customer Service Specialist in the store for the month of July
-Have trained many new employees and have assisted in managerial tasks

Worked as a Coach for a sports organization
-Coach/Counselor for youth flag football league

Community Service
-Interact Club
-Ambassador for a dog adoption organization
-Planning on joining National Honor Society this year (Will Florida take that into consideration if I apply before applying to NHS and then sending them info after application is submitted?)
-DECA Member

I'm also an out-of-state student living in Northern Virginia. Obviously it's a reach to get into the school, but I'm hoping that my strong rigor along with my junior year GPA can give me a chance. Please let me know what you believe my chances are, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Two UF Chance Me’s today? Mmmm, loving it! Bring on the competition!
Clears throat Sorry. Hello there, to answer your first question. No, admission interviews aren’t available. As you know, it’s a big school, and a lot of applicants, the sheer number of them make having interviews not feasible.
Major choice doesn’t impact on admissions, for better or for worse. You’re applying to the university and not the major itself.
An edge? Certainly! As you’re aware its admissions are holistic and they take into account what you’ve done as an individual. From what I’m reading, you’re community service and ECs are pretty formidable and solid. In that sense you’re set. From what I’ve read they like to see a sense of leadership, which you did show, and a student who is not only down-to-earth, but visionary too.

Now, down to the gritty. Both your unweighted and weighted GPA are slightly low compared to UF standard. Worry not, I’m on the same boat as you, as my GPA is pretty similar. Your SAT/ACT scores aren’t toooo attractive if I might say, I would recommend retaking either (To answer your question, retake the one you feel the most comfortable with. I’m biased towards SAT, but that’s just me.) Get that score up to a 1800+ (if SAT) and a 28+ if ACT. You can do it. :)

Your OOS status does worry me, but for a different reason. UF isn’t known to have that much OOS aid, will you be able to afford what they’re charging?

I wish you the best. It won’t be easy to get in, but if we do… Heh. Take care!

Thanks buddy! I appreciate the help and advice! Means a lot!
