Chances of Getting Into Fordham (please)

Fordham is the school I plan on doing ED for though I’d like to know my chances of getting in and if they go up for ED applications, thank you so so so much.

GPA UW: 3.6
GPA W:4.05
9 AP courses in HS, all 4s and 5s on the scores I’ve received thus far.
SAT: 1350 (taking again in August to hopefully increase score)

White female from low income household - father in military, mother is federal investigator and military veteran. I plan on being a Political Science major and eventually going to Law School to become a lawyer.

I am in 7 clubs (mostly all political and liberal clubs), President of my school’s Gay Straight Alliance for 2 years, Vice President of Mock Government Club for two years. In 3 National Honors societies junior year, 4 senior year. About 50-60 hours community service. Internship Senior year. (I submitted writing to a military kid magazine that I hope will be published and I can put this on my resume but I do not know yet).

Debating writing my essay on either 1. the time someone threatened to shoot me and the school up for me being gay(the person ended up getting arrested, tied in with being president of GSA), 2. Being a military kid and how my dad was deployed my entire freshman year, 2 of the 3 years we were stationed in California, and living in 3 states growing up, 2 high schools. I have rough drafts for both and they’re decent but not ground breaking.

If you could chance me that would be amazing, I don’t want to waste my ED if I wont get in and also if you don’t know then can you please comment your stats and let me know if you got accepted. Thank you so much

From what I’ve read about Fordham, I think you could fit in very well, and I definitely think you could get in. Even if worst case scenario your SAT doesn’t change- 1350 is Fordham’s average. ED-ing gives you a higher chance and I feel like a general rule of thumb is that if you have 0% chance of getting into a school you shouldn’t ED there, but that’s not the case with you for Fordham. It’s a great school and I know people who have turned down even “better” schools to go there (George W & Wellesley) because of Fordham’s amazing programs. Best of Luck!

I think you have a good chance at getting in. You have a well rounded application and your ideas for your essay sound compelling and different than other more common essay ideas. If you retake the sat and score higher youll have an even better chance. I just graduated so when I applied there was only early admission instead of early decision but i think that applying ed will help you
