Fordham is definitely my top choice for college. I really want to study in NYC and attend a Catholic university. Do I have a decent chance of being accepted? I have heard they are increasing their acceptance standards.

Also, should I apply early action or work hard first semester to raise my cumulative GPA and apply regular decision? My school sends a follow up mid year grade report to colleges, but I think I would already have received their decision by then. I know early action increases your chances of getting accepted, but does it outweigh the benefits of a higher GPA? I could raise it to a 3.66 if I get a 4.0 this semester.
