Chances of getting into Hong Kong University

Hey,

I am currently in grade 11 taking the Canadian curriculum (about 95% average) so I do not have any international qualifications. I found on the HKU website that they do look at the SAT and 3 AP subjects so I may potentially do that next year. The program I am interested in is speech therapy, which accepts an average of 32 points for the local DSE, so it does seem quite competitive. What do you think my chances of getting into that program will be with or without international qualifications? As well, what would be a competitive SAT score for HKU?

Hi,
You may want to shoot for 1500 on the SATs to be considered competitive. You might want to look into The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) since they’re great universities too.
