Hi guys! I recently got accepted to Loyola Marymount University with a gpa of 3.48, ACT of 29 and SAT of 1310. Unfortunately I only received $8,000 of merit aid so I cannot attend. I’m praying I can get into SDSU since it’s much cheaper. I am from CT and have been told it is significantly more difficult to be admitted as an out of state applicant.

Priority goes to in-state applicants for all Cal States, but they always welcome OOS students since you will be paying full fees at $40K/year.
Your eligibility index with ACT is 986 and SAT is 4094 so you are on the cusp of being a competitive applicant. I would say 50/50 chance.
@whogoesthere You will definetly get in. I got in this year with EI of 920 as an OOS to pre-liberal studies.
