Hi there,
I’m a fairly new member, but I’ve been lurking around this site for quite some time. I’m really anxious about getting into my top choice college. I was just wondering if anyone had any insight on the chances I can get in. I go to a Jesuit school in Portland.
Stats:
3.24 GPA Unweighted
29 ACT (Not superscored)
No AP or Honors courses
I’m taking a service trip to Ecuador for the entirety of Spring Break if that helps.
Lettered in Theatre
Leader of a club and a member of two others
Member of the school paper
I’m still a Junior, but if anyone can lay out my chances of getting into Loyola Chicago that would be great. Thanks!
Average ACT score at Loyola is 24-29, so you’re at the high end of that. You didn’t talk about class rank, but it will not hurt your chances so long as you’re in about the top ~25% pf your class.
Top tenth: 34%
Top quarter: 72%
Top half: 96%
Bottom half: 4%
Visited the college a couple months back already. I don’t quite know any other way I can keep in touch with the school frequently considering I’m out of state and I don’t want to seem pushy.
