Chances of getting into McCormick

So, as you guys know, if you get into McCormick, you're forever hosta--I mean, you get to not mess with the housing rush.

I need to figure out suitcases. I applied for McCormick for my first choice, but I'm curious whether anyone knows what chances are that I got in. Does it tend to be a popular choice and/or have fewer openings?

Much thanks.

Burton Conner and EC took the top spots last year for how many people put them as number one choice and Baker is always very popular. McCormick as a whole really shouldn't be that hard. With at least three dorms (along with McGragor and Simmons most likely) ahead of it I'd trust your chances.

I would say... low if you're male, otherwise high. ;)

^ Haha, my ditz of a boyfriend took a tour of McCormick during CPW, thought it was just lovely, and asked the tour guide something about RBA and the housing lottery. She was like, "Oh, does your sister want to live here?" :D

Lol.

Anyway, that's excellent. :D I liked McCormick, and it's near classes and everything, AND has a dining hall. Win.

Wait, another side question:

When you do get in, are you assigned immediately to the room you're going to live in that year, or is there shuffling?

No, While you will stay in the dorm you are put in no matter what, the actual room is probably gonna change. I've heard that you can squat rooms from the vey beginning but I wouldn't know anything about it because when I went through orientation I ended up in a triple on a floor I didn't want to be on. Safe to say I requested the floor above me and happily moved to a double.

Fiddlesticks. >[

I lived in McCormick this past year. The way they did it with my class was that they assigned us permanent rooms over the summer, but there was a room adjustment lottery on registration day and throughout the term. So, there are oppurtunities to change rooms if the need arises.

Why are you so eager to not have to move?
