Any Advice or Suggestions on other schools would be appreciated.

Sorry if my course list is hard to read. The site messed up my formatting…

It’s really too early to chance you. You don’t have your SAT scores or a definitive GPA/rank yet.

Don’t worry, you’re looking good.

Any advice on weather to graduate a year early or not?

I personally don’t think that’s a very good idea, but that’s more a personal opinion. Going all four years allows colleges to see your full potential and take the most challenging classes that can be offered. I think it would be difficult to get into those top schools with only three years of classes behind you. Just the thoughts of a fellow fairfaxer.

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/898730-chances-duke-penn-cornell.html</a></p>

Personally I feel a compressed schedule to graduate early works well for a very small percentage of students. Looking at your schedule, you may want to consider dual enrolling at NOVA for a few classes (ie Gov’t for example). This frees your schedule for more classes as opposed to online. You have to be 16. Based on the schools you are looking at I think you are best served staying four years and continuing with the rigor of studies. LBraddock has more than enough AP classes to keep you engaged. BTW. If you decide on four years, pull that physics out of summer online and take it in class AP. Just a thought.
Good luck! You sound like you have a bright future. Breathe. Don’t wish it all away!

Is it possible that if I don’t get accepted, I could just stay at high school for the remaining year and reapply?

I suggest you do a lot of homework before making this decision.

This has been discussed many times, often in great length, on this forum. You’ll need to spend some time searching for these, and then reading them seriously.

I read through several of those discussions. Many who graduated early were happy with their decision. And many others felt it was a mistake that they still regret.

Do you still do crew? I dont know much about crew or how talented you have to be to get recruited, but if you hooked yourself as an athlete you could go for an ivy.

Hun, I’m sorry but it is too early to chance you. You have fantastic grades and achievements, but with all of your APs scheduled for next year, no SAT or ACT scores, etc. there are just too many variables to give you an accurate answer. Keep up the good work and come back in a year! :)

any advice on how I can improve my chances for MIT?

How does one answer this question to a sophomore in a meaningful way? I’m not sure. You could do everything right and still face long odds of getting accepted.

If you go through high school with your activities planned according to a script (one that you believe colleges want), then you’ll be unhappy, you will appear to much like a cookie-cutter applicant, and you’ll be devastated if you don’t get in.

However, if you spend your high school years following your passion, and excelling in areas that excite you, then your college application will reveal a much deeper candidate, you’ll have more fun in high school, and you’ll be able to better weather any rejections you might get.
