Chances of getting into MIT or Stanford ?

Hi,
I am an international student receiving a B.S. degree from an US liberal arts institution. I am double majoring in Engineering Science: Electrical and Physics and with minor in Math. I am applying to ECE programs at MIT, Stanford and few other top schools. But I am not very sure about my chances of getting in.

Please find my stats below:
1. GPA: 3.9, Major GPA: 3.95
2. GRE: Q 800/800, V 560/800 and AW 4/6
3. Researches: 3 semester research participations and 1 summer research participation
4. Publications: 1 publication, 1 conference presentation
5. Recommendation: High quality recommendation from faculty research mentor, chair of the department and other professors.
6. Leadership: IEEE University branch president and Residential Assistant
7. Teaching experience: Undergraduate TA for 5 different courses and high school teacher for 1 year in home country

I have few questions:
1. Would my verbal score of 560/800 and AW 4/6 be detrimental to my application ?
2. My Statement of purpose will be around 1200 words. Is that considered too long ? Anybody who has been accepted into the program, please suggest.
