Chances of Getting into MIT

<p>Hey, I've been aspiring to go to MIT ever since my first "hello world" program. I'm now a java game developer and interested in majoring in computer science. What are my chances of getting in?

<p>I'm in a very competitive school, I'm in the top 20% of my class. Most of my electives have been technology based.
ECs:
4 years of competitive sweep crew racing, 8 seasons. 3 years varsity, 6 seasons. Varsity Captain senior year.
2 years of winter track. JV captain.
Student Council Delegate 4 years
Cofounder and President of Technology Club at high school.
President of Robotics Club.
I am an Eagle Scout.
Member of NHS.
80 hours of Community Service.
I volunteer regularly at a food shelter, I've also done a lot of volunteering at the local library, beach, and camp. My Eagle Scout project was making the camp a safer place by putting up emergency protocol signs.
I am an avid programmer in Java, and have become a game developer. I also know C++ and Objective C. I'm interested in engineering and computer programming.
I don't need any financial aid. Please let me know my chances, and if you have any suggestions for possible other school please let me know. I am looking in the Massachusetts area, no more than 2 hours from Boston. Please let me know what you think, and thank you in advance!</p>

<p>see if you can get recruited for track.<br>
SAT and GPA are slightly on the low side but ACT is good and its definitely helpful that you have taken the hardest possible courses.
Your ECs seem good but I think many candidates will have similar ones.
Keep in mind that MIT’s admit rate for boys this year was around 5%(i think)</p>

<p>Its probably going to boil down to how amazing your comp sci accomplishments are(awards research papers etc…). I think you should also consider CMU even though its probably more than 2 hrs from boston just because it also has an amazing cs department and its not <em>that</em> far away.</p>

<p>GOOD LUCK!</p>
