Chances of getting into my schools?????

I’m currently a first generation senior and I have only DREAMED about getting into these schools. I am applying to 8 schools, all regular decision and I was wondering my chances of getting into to the top 5 on my list.
They are:

  1. Northeastern University
  2. Boston University
  3. Tufts University
  4. UNC Chapel Hill
  5. UCLA (yes this one’s a hella reach but it can’t hurt to try.)

Here are my stats:
Weighted GPA: 4.8 My school has a weird grading scale where an AP class is worth 6 pts and a Honors class is worth 5pt.
Unweighted: 3.94 I only got a B in one class XD
AP Classes I have taken: World History (3) (this was the one I took Freshman year, the B class), Psychology (5), Human Geography (5), Environmental Science (4)
AP Classes that I am in currently: Biology, English Literature and Composition, and Statistics (I’m shooting for a 5’s on all of these)
Class Rank: Top 12% (our graduating class is massive with like 660 people lol)

SAT score: My October test is a 1330, 650 CR, 680 M. I am taking it again in November and I’m shooting for a 1400, I took the October one w/o studying but this next one I’m actually studying for
ACT score: 27 (This was from Junior year- no prep) I just took the October ACT and Probs got around 29-30 (no prep)
Should I take these tests again?

EC’s:
-I have a job at a local diner and work about 20-25 hours a week
-Volunteer with my local YMCA, county Library, and elementary schools arranging various tutoring activities
-3rd year DECA member: recognized as a state finalist in multiple years of competition, and will (hopefully) qualify this year for Nationals
-Took 3 years of Latin, 1 of which I had to teach myself because they canceled the class in my school. They didn’t offer AP Latin at school or online either
-National Honor Society
-Science National Honor Society
-Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society

  • Rho Kappa Honor Society
-National Junior Classical League (for the 2 years they offered Latin at my school)
  • Played the violin for 7 years and part of my high school orchestra for all 4 years
  • Member of school Environmental club and Envirothon: competed at the state level
-Was a member of HOSA and competed at the regional and state level
  • Member of school’s Latin club and competitive Certamen (quiz bowl) team. Competed at regional and state level
  • I hold leadership positions in DECA, Environmental, and Science National Honor Society

Other Stuff:

  • I volunteered about 300 hours over summer in a trip to East African countries; I helped arrange food and care packages with other team members for about 1000 people. One of the best experiences of my life.
I know my scores may be lacking, I’m relying on my EC’ and my essays to shine through
I am quite a busy bee XD
So if someone could help me determine my chances, especially for Northeastern, it would mean the world.
Thank you and I look forward to seeing your responses

Great extra cirriculars, good advantage being 1st gen, good gpa… but SAT and ACT need to come up a little bit for schools like Northeastern. Average ACT at northeastern is a 31 so try to match that if you really want to get in. Everything is good - just raise your scores.

For first gen, I’d say your chances are excellent for all schools on your list. Your SAT scores are fine. If you’ve only taken them once, you may try to take them again after some studying. Focus on vocab which is the quickest way to boost your verbal score. If your SATs go up, consider a couple ivies in your list.
