Chances of getting into Northwestern?

Okay, so I am a white catholic female who goes to a small public school in Michigan. I am ranking 20 out of 276.

Senior Year, as I have currently planned it:

AP Mirco

Took AP Bio exam in hopes of getting credit, also taking AP Calc exam, AP french exam, AP macro and micro (maybe…).

Had a 4.0 until this year, currently have a 3.97.

SAT got a 1360 and retook it and do not know my scores yet, ACT got a 28 and am planning to retake because that is so sad :(, taking SAT subject tests of chemistry, physics, and math 2 in the fall.

I also have a lot of extracurriculars, like I have a job coaching gymnastics, I’ve gone to this sort of prestigious leadership camp on NU’s campus, I started my own bicycling club, I am the president of another club that is a “peer to peer” club (so we work w special education students) and am an active volunteer at the local hospital as well as the community. I am a squad leader in my marching band, and am a captain for field hockey, and have ran track for going on 6 years.

Northwestern is my dream and I really want to go into the Weinberg school of science.

Have you considered studying now and then retaking the SAT or ACT? I think that is the only thing holding you down and that you would be almost guaranteed acceptance if your scores were a little higher! Best of Luck!

@PetEngineer
I don’t know about guaranteed acceptance, it’s Northwestern after all. But definitely try to improve your SAT/ACT scores.

Basically same as above posts. If you get like a 33 or higher on your ACT your chances will increase a lot. Also write an awesome essay, get good recommendations. Otherwise I’m sure you’ll have a pretty good chance of getting in, but since it is Northwestern, have other matches and safeties just in case.
