Hi! I'm new to this forum, so I'm not sure if this is customary, but I was wondering if anyone could give me a general idea of the kind of schools I would be able to get into. I'm just starting to look into which colleges to apply to next year, and I'm really not sure where to start as far as which colleges I would be accepted to. Currently I don't have my heart set on any one particular school, though I have been looking into NYU (which I think would be a stretch for me).

Class rank: 58/1028
GPA: 5.8700 Weighted
(I think my school's home access website is having some kind of problem with my unweighted GPA - it shows it as 4.02, which I'm pretty sure can't be correct.)

I'm currently only a junior and haven't taken SATs yet, but my PSAT scores are as follows:
Critical Reading - 77/80
Mathematics - 65/80
Writing Skills - 72/80
(these are from 2012, I have since taken PSATs again and I think my math score may increase slightly)

Here are my classes thus far:
Freshman Year:
Physical Science Honors
German 2
Algebra 2 Honors
Western Tradition Honors
English Honors

Sophomore Year:
Journalism
Pre Calculus Honors
Biology Honors
AP World History
Gifted English (basically Honors class offered to gifted program students)
German 3 Honors

Junior Year:
AP Language & Composition
AP US History
Calculus Honors
Chemistry Honors
German 4 Honors
News Journalism

And here are the courses I plan to take Senior year:
AP Literature & Composition
AP Government
AP Statistics
AP German
Physics Honors
News Journalism

As far as ECs, I have run cross country for two years (planning to do a third year as well) and have earned a Varsity letter, I am a member of my school's German Club, Equestrian Club, Key Club, German National Honor Society (Delta Phi Alpha), and staff writer for my school newspaper. I was also awarded a silver medal for my performance on the German National AATG Exam. I have a lot of hours of community service, but my leadership is really weak, although I'm fairly certain I will be the Editor-in-Chief of my school's paper next year and will definitely be an officer in German Club and Equestrian Club.

Anyway, if you could tell me my chances of getting into NYU as far as you can tell at this point (I know the lack of SAT scores will probably make things difficult, sorry!), and maybe an idea of what kind of colleges I should be looking at as far as selectivity.
Sorry in advance for my naivety, I haven't really been on this forum before, so I'm still learning the ropes.
Thank you!
