<p>I'm not sure where i stand on my chances of getting into nyu. my gpa is a bit low but my extracurriculars are good, which include leadership positions and a lot of community service. If it helps, i go to a very selective and hard private school. i just finished junior year, i would like to become a lawyer when i am older so some of my extracurriculars i took were to help me in that area. </p>
<p>gpa fresh & soph year of highschool was a 3.33 (b+ 30% of admitted students into nyu had around this). I took 3 honors & 2 regular classes (the only honor classes that were offered were 3- so i tool them all) no ap's allowed untill 11th grade.</p>
<p>junior year - 3.7gpa 3 honors 1 ap 1 reg </p>
<p>senior year - i am going to take 2 honors and 2 ap's </p>

student government - treasurer, 10th - 12
member of model un, 9th-12th & trip leader
member of speech and debate 10th-12th (preparing me for when i am a lawyer, good public speaking)
co-founder of a breast cancer foundation (a lot of my community service is from here, i worked on it all year around since 8th grade)
tennis 9-11
co-coach of tennis team 12th grade
lacrosse 9-11
member of mock trial (preparing me for when i am a lawyer, want to do that in the future)
member of a community service club 9-11, president in 12th grade
i play the flute, am very good at it<br>
over the summer since 9th grade i intern and work for a lawyer
every summer since 7th grade i spend three weeks working with my church (community service), includes going into nyc to help feed the homeless, working in food pantries, and so on.<br>
i took a pre college program 10 & 11th grade over the summer </p>
<p>do you have any other ideas on colleges that i would be good in?</p>
