Chances of getting into NYU?

I have a 3.7 GPA currently (90 average), am involved in 7 EC activities (Mock Trial, Girl Scouts, Model Congress, etc) I teach 8th graders religion after school and have volunteered at a food pantry/will volunteer this summer.
I got a 150 on my PSAT (58 Crit. Reading 39 Math 53 Crit Writing) But am taking numerous SAT classes to raise my score.
I go to a college prep that does not offer any honors or AP classes but am told that my curriculum is the equivalent of taking half honors classes in public schools. What are my chances of getting into NYU?

(I'm a junior in HS)
Freshman Avg: 82
Soph. Avg. : 86
Junior Avg: 90

NYU: Aim for 31+/2100+

NYU - Out Of Reach atm

Like Catrica said, aim 31+ on SAT or 2100+ on SAT.

Your current cumulative GPA is 86/100 or 3.0(Converted via CollegeBoard’s GPA conversion system), which is SUPER low for NYU…

Yes I knew my cumulative GPA was going to low
I’m hoping to raise the 90 to at least a 93 this year so I can at least have an 87 and end up with 3.3
I was also wondering if they would take into account how many points I’ve increased from freshman year

An upward trend will look better than a downward one, but it’ll all be for naught if you can’t raise your SAT score to within the standard range.

Standard range would be about 2000 or 2100 right? If i got an 1800-1900 should I not even consider applying?

You CAN apply… but your chance of getting accepted will be really really low(Since your GPA isn’t great either).

Aim for 2100+ to make up for your GPA(You won’t be able to replace it tho ofc).
