Chances of getting into NYU

Hi everyone, I'm a rising senior in high school and NYU is my ultimate dream school, but is a pretty large reach for me and I wanted everyone's opinions on my odds of being accepted.

Stats:
Weighted GPA: 3.69
Superscored SAT: 1170/1800
-Math: 500 (yikes, I know)
-CR: 650
-Writing: 650

I've taken 3 AP's, and am taking 2 more my senior year. AP Psychology (3), AP Government (3), and AP English Language (3), I'm taking AP Environmental Science and AP US History my senior year.

Top 20% of my class, I also got straight A's my entire junior year.

EC's:
National Honor Society member
JV Field Hockey (freshman & sophomore)
Varsity Indoor & Outdoor Track and Field (junior &senior)
VBS Leader (all 4 years)
It's Academic club member & member of the TV team (all 4 years - TV team senior year)
GSA member (junior & senior)
Church youth group (freshman)
Young Life club (all 4 years)
Creative Writing club (all 4 years)
Coached Parks & Rec field hockey team (junior & senior)
National Society of High School Scholars member
Water stop coordinator at half marathon (leadership position)
Babysitting (all 4 years)
I have also volunteered at many, many 5ks/10ks over the years, helping with whatever they needed.

I know I probably have very slim chances of being accepted, but as this is my ultimate dream school and NYC is my favorite city in the entire world, I'd love to hear anyone's opinion on if I could actually get in or not. Thank you!

Go ED if you can afford NYU for sure. All A’s in 11th will help. Retake SAT/ACT. Right now its a reach.
Also look at Fordham Lincoln Center, its less then a mile from Times Square, you would have a better shot at that.
Definitely retake SAT or go for ACT
chance please- http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1670747-improving-chances.html#latest

I’d say it depends on which school within NYU you’re applying to. CAS/Stern would be a reach. You’d have a better shot at Liberal Studies/Gallatin.

ECs are adequate. Try to get top 15% of your class. Retake the SAT and take the ACT (which I found much easier). Aim for 2000 SAT and 30 ACT at the very least. You should be in decent shape with that.

(I’ll be a freshman Presidential Honors Scholar in CAS at NYU this fall.)

What’s your unweighted GPA? That tends to matter more. Adcoms view academic rigor as a separate item. I agree with the other posters in that you should try the ACT; most people find it easier. A 3.7 UGPA and 32+ACT should make you competitive.
