First year of community college, did not do well because I just did not try, ended up failing a bunch of CSU classes, also 1 assist certified course( which I retook and got a A in) and also got a D in water color (elective but UC does count this class).
Second year I put minimal effort into school and surprisingly got a 3.5, I am planning to take summer classes this summer and also 5 full classes next 2 semesters in community college. I am sure I can get a 3.8-4.0 because I will put the effort into school 100%.
If I do get 4.0 for this summer and the next 2 semesters my grades would be
ASSIST Certified Courses: 1 3.61 70.00/105.00 (if i retake the water color class my ACC gpa would be 3.7)
Non-ASSIST Certified Courses: 2.08 22.00/ 33.00
Overall: 3.21 92.00/138.00
I was going to apply to TAG for the following fall but now I see on the UCI website that Business Administration
(this major does not participate in the TAG Program)
Please give me some suggestions on what to do.
whether if I should retake my watercolor class and boost my GPA to a 3.7 or just leave it, also has anyone gotten into UCI for fall 2017 without doing TAG with a 3.6 to 3.7?
Also I do have felony charges for drugs trafficking.
Will this affect my chances of acceptance?
No extra curricular or job experiences.
Any opinion and feedback is welcome! Thank you for reading

For 2016, UCI’s business major had an admission rate of 13% with 25th-75th percentile GPAs of 3.83-4.00.
UCI doesn’t accept TAG applicants for its business program so, that won’t hurt you but, I think you chances are pretty slim, as noted above the acceptance rate is just tiny… I’d look at Riverside - they still take TAGs for Biz and your GPA should be fine.
Good luck
