Hi, I applied to Providence EA
I have a 4.0 weighted gpa, 3.8 unweighted and am not submitting SAT scores.
I also take four ap classes, three honors classes, and I also took three ap classes last year.
I am extremely involved in extracurricular activities and sports at school, I also have a paid engineering internship.
I am applying to the 3+2 engineering program.
Do I have a good chance of getting accepted?
Thanks!
I think you have a very good chance. From my research and discussions with guidance counselors, admissions personnel, and current and former students, your stats are on the stronger side. If you look at the Providence Application Guide found on their website students with an institutional gpa between 3.75 to 4.0 have a 91% chance of getting in. Institutional gpa includes only the following classes: English, math, science, social science and modern languages. They also point out that AP and IB courses are strongly considered during the review process. Be positive and I wish you best of luck!
Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it!
You have a really good chance but in past years at my school providence has deferred a lot of EA students they were "over qualified "
