So I don’t want to pour my life story out on CC but I was wondering what are my chances for admission into a good Public University for engineering in the Midwest area. Mainly Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa or Purdue (Purdue being hardest). Im now 23 and getting out of the military soon-ish. I have taken core college classes that the Navy has provided and plan to get more classes under my belt at UNF in Jacksonville, FL. So far in the college courses ive taken I have all A’s with the exception of one B. I plan on Retaking the ACT soon and scoring high 20’s or low 30s possibly. My HS grades weren’t the best. Started out pretty bad freshman year but picked it up the last 3 years. Finishing GPA was around 3.0 but was in AP Math and Science classes all throughout and even took Calculus Senior year. I also never failed a class. What are my chances of being accepted to lets say Nebraska for engineering with my previous HS grades, a currently high ACT score (28-30 as a guesstimate), and Veteran status. Ive been out of HS for almost 6 years now and am actively trying to better myself through college courses but im not sure if Universities will see it the same way. Thank you guys!
