I am new to this site but I am really worried, freshman year I got a 63 gpa because I didn't do anything and I had family problems. Sophomore year I got an 81. junior year I got an 89 gpa. I am planning on getting a 96 or 97 for the first two semesters of senior year. So my overall gpa will be a 2.8 and I got an 1800 on my SATs. What are my chances of getting in , I want to go for biology. Someone who's gotten into Rowan or knows it fairly well please help.

The upward slope of your grades is good. People love great comebacks and redemption stories. Your SATs aren’t bad. A lot depends on your class rank and nature of the classes you are taking (i.e. are they AP or honors classes or general ed). There’s other factors, too.

I’m not in charge of anything, but the worst that can happen is that you start in the STARS program at CC, build up your record even more, then transfer into Rowan.

I would also recommend completing the optional essay on the application. Write a lot about how you would like to get involved in the university, and just a bit about what’s in it for you. If you’re borderline, a good essay might put you over the top.
