HELP

Youre not getting in with that sat score.

Your SAT is a bit low but your average is good. I would also apply to SAS. Just call and have them add it on. You can transfer into RBS from SAS if you do well your first two years. I know a couple kids who transferred into RBS from CC.

@‌rualum Okay thank you! i just call them and tell them to add it?

@rualum‌

Yes, if you did not choose 3 options for admission, you should be able to call admissions and have them add your options. I have heard of other students doing this with no problem.

Best to call any Rutgers department early as wait times increase over the course of the day.

@pceluvjersey‌ I am in the same situation below avg sat score but academically I have a gpa on a weighted scale of 4.134 (91% avg) on my schools scale… Top 11% of my class.great EC’s , varsity sports and leadership rolls thruout high school! @rualum‌ chance me please! You seem to be educated a lot about the process:) I applied to sas and SEBS early action. Hang in there @pceluvjersey‌ !!! Good luck!

Chancing is only guessing. I really have no idea.

I would advise doing another “Chance Me” thread next time (really in general) because of comments like this:

“Youre not getting in with that sat score.”

Your GPA is fine, your EC’s are great, you’re on varsity sports and your course rigor is deemed suitable for Rutgers (several AP’s and honors). A low SAT score will not affect that because you’ve shown that you can perform well in school, which means most likely they’ll disregard that. It’s just one of many factors into the admissions process. Wizard09 has no clue what he’s talking about.

I’d say you have a pretty high chance.

@1501qwerty‌ Hi! i just got my SAT scores back a couple days ago and I got a 1700  I applied to both the business school and the arts and sciences school at Rutgers and I have not heard a word from them … however my friend who is much less qualified than I got her acceptance letter and she applied 2-3 weeks after me! How is that possible?

I don’t know, but she probably applied to a different school than you did.

Ha, I just submitted my application about 15 minutes ago and now I’m self-reporting my grades. ■■■■, here goes nothing!

P.S: What were your friends stats, if you don’t mind me asking?

@1501qwerty‌ She applied to the same school as me!

I know her class rank was 150ish out of 588 and her gpa was around a 3.6

Honestly not so sure about that. Maybe Rutgers has time frames where they send out decisions? Who knows.

There are thousands and thousands of students applying. The admissions process is extremely complex and there is no definitive answer as to when you will exactly get a decision. Just wait it out.

@1501qwerty‌ thank you! and best of luck to you, hope you get accepted!! :)

Things are busy this time of year. Acceptances will arrive randomly.

did you get in?
