SATs aren’t the biggest part of Stanford’s decision.

2200+ I would say is enough to stop worrying about SATs. Even 2100 should be acceptable. There are just so many more important things, like essays, EC’s, course rigor. Do you have any academic EC’s?

If you’re hooked, 2100 MIGHT be acceptable given the strength of the hook.
If you’re unhooked, then 2250+ is practically a must, with a 2300+ something that may ‘help’.

i applied this year but not sure if i got in yet…
my advice is to apply SCEA though so submit your app by nov 1st (never hurts to submit it a little earlier than that even). I know Stanford loves athletes so if your REALLY good i would play that up

Something I’ve kinda noticed about Stanford and some other schools is that they like people that are super interested in an activity that not a lot of people are into. That’s a little vague i suppose. but yup wouldn’t worry TOO much about SAT shoot for somehwere 2200-2300.

I don’t see how these posters can have any idea of what SAT score an applicant needs to get into Stanford. I have read about a student that was accepted with a 1900. This is an exception, but SAT is evaluated in context with other criteria.

I would apply if you are interested in Stanford and not pay too much attention to College Confidential advice. Sorry, but that is my conclusion after reading so many conflicting pieces of advice. This is advice from posters who don’t really know what the admissions department is going to consider on individual applications.
