chances of getting into Stony Brook so far?

Im only a sophomore, so it’s kind of too early to tell, but could you tell me my chances so far?

Last year I only ended up with an 84 average. =/ I know its low, but this year I have a 94 so far (:

Assuming I keep up my 94 average, what are my chances?

by the way, last year my grades were so low because of Biology and honors english 9 and global 9. I also took Integrated Algebra and Spanish 2 last year.

This year I’m taking regular Global 10 and english 10. I’m also taking chemistry, geometry and spanish 3.

I haven’t taken my SAT’s yet, so i’m wondering what score i should be shooting for to get into Stony Brook?

Some other things to know:
I’m in band. (been in band since 5th; marching band since 9th)
I’m in a science club (STEP) [and i have been since 7th]
I’m in robotics (i started this year)

I also plan on joining Art Club and Key Club, but I’m not 100 percent sure.

So, what are my chances so far?

Oh, and 1 last question…

I already said my grades were low last year; well i have the option to replace my grades by taking summer school this year. I know I’m definitley going to retake Biology, but should I also retake global 9 and english 9? I got a 77 and 82, but my guidance counselor said that colleges look at the quality of the courses too, and it’ll be more impressive if I have 2 honors classes… What should I do? Those 2 classes are really bringing down my overall average…

Summer school to bring them up or keep them as they are?

Thanks! (:

No suggestions? =/

Yea, i definitely think you have a good chance at Stony Brook, but you’ll need to take the SATs first and then your scores will either make or break it! goodlock

Whether you will be offered the opportunity to take summer courses to boost your grades will depend on your school. Personally, I think that’s absolutely ridiculous. Anyways, if you do keep up with your 94 GPA, you have a decent shot at Stony Brook (you might want to take a few more honors though). You should aim for a 1800 on the SAT, but 1900 is the optimal score if you want to have a solid shot.
