Syracuse has always been my dream school and I feel the decision could really go either way. I go to a private catholic school and have a 3.2 w/2.8 uw gpa. My grades really slipped my sophomore year but have been much higher than a 3.2 the rest of high school (with the exception of this quarter which is around a 3.2- calc is killing me). I got a 1950/1300 on the Sat's. I also ran cross country and track and played lacrosse. I took 5 ap classes and got a 5 and 4 on my exams last year. My essay was very good and I believe my recs were solid as well. How much of a shot do I have?

Anyone please

My Sats were a 710 critical reading, 650 writing, 590 math btw if that helps

I think you will get in. I know people at my school who got in with lower stats, but it all depends on your background (hooks) and what school/major you want to apply to. Your GPA might hurt you a bit, though. I think if they see a general upward trend in your grades you will be fine. Good luck! :)

Syracuse: High match

Thanks guys. Ideally I would like to get into Newhouse however I know that the possibility of that is next to none. Syracuse did allow me to apply to second and third choice schools and my second choice was undecided in the college of arts and sciences. Anyone else?
