Hi-
I am a student from Connecticut, I go to a very competitive Catholic, private, high school and want to know of my chances of getting into Texas A and M's engineering program.
My school weights our GPA and i currently have a 4.1 (on a 4.5 scale); however i have religion classes (which are non honors) weighing my GPA down (most likely will be factored out when I apply).
I am involved in many various clubs: Mock Trial, Jazz Band, Band, Varsity tennis for four years, Math team, Robotics and hold positions of leadership for most of the clubs.
SAT - 2080 (CR-640, M-750, and W-690) I am planning on taking the SATs one more time to improve my scores.
Unfortunately, I have recently learned that TAMU takes a great deal of their students from Texas (no surprise), but i was wondering how my chances are out of state?
I am planning on taking various Subject tests (Math II, Chemistry, US History) and I take all honors and ap classes.
Mainly, I feel like TAMU would be a good fit for me. They have a solid engineering program but also the school has a college experience that I've always dreamed of.
How much does being out of state affect my chances?

I forgot to add that my school does not rank but based on my estimates i am in the top 10 % of my class.
