i'll be a junior next year

Wow good chance at all (top 15 are unpredictable though). You have a great app with very competitive ECs. I have a chance on here too if you wanna chance back.

This ■■■■■ post displays superb craftsmanship. Proceeding from the top, you will note a near-perfect SAT and an Ivy-normal ACT. Definitely believable on CC. Focus your attention on the 3.9 uw gpa; ■■■■■ clearly strives for authenticity and realism here. The 7.1 uw gpa could be a typo, or an indicator of fabrication. Probably the latter.

Notice the STEM-qualities of the ■■■■■, as evident in SATII scores, AP scores, and a laundry list of impressive math course taken at, of course, Yale University. Perhaps, we think, this guy is legit.

Then things fall apart. Note the generic “Math Team” without accompanying awards. This guy supposedly toke multivariate calculus at Yale but cannot dominate a HS math competition. Fishy.

Looking closer, we see OP has a job as a “paid musician” but nowhere in his post is there mention of music-related activities. Surely, with such talent, there should be a musical history.

Lastly, we come to the sheer volume of OP’s accomplishments: a combined 1230 hours of research/shadowing/volunteerism, while taking FIVE mathematics course at Yale… all before junior year. LOL RIGHT.

Finally, we’ll note that OP attempts to establish the Hispanic realism with AP Spanish. Furthermore, we’ll note instances of jargon: “ciligonesis and polycystic” and - to a lesser extent - “rheumatoid arthritis”.

OP, being the pathetic ■■■■■ that he/she is, will be coming nowhere but community college for two years because every other college will have rejected him/her on the basis of falsifying documents. Have a nice day. :)

? the reason i have no math team awards is because the competitions are all algebra
i was never that fast or complex with my algebra knowledge

paid musician means i do people’s parties or really small concerts so chill

the 5 yale classes are during the year and during the summer some classes are during the summer and finish during the summer so its easy to do even more

i dont know what op is either

also, gpa is 7.1

my school does wgpa out of 8 because we have level courses: 5,7,9,AP,DC.CP

A smart person would not take both Math1 and Math2 subject tests. ;)

By the way, it is hard to get a paper published at all when you only work such as short time in a lab unless you are just one of the author on a long list. Also, I would only put the name of a high school student in the acknowledgement at best unless he has major contribution to the paper which needs to be far beyond 180+450 hours.

@billcsho

the research assistant in volunteer work is separate from my published research

the assistant work was after freshman year whereas the published work was from sophomore year to the end of sophomore summer (far exceeds 800 hrs)

also, why not take math1/math2?

^ It is a waste of money to take both Math1 and Math2. They only count one.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? i spend sooo much time studying for those

if i submit only one, which should i send?

Neither…

headed2great: ? what are you saying? if you’re not helping, please leave

Send math 2 only

ok thanks!

your grades and scores are excellent
why did you take Math SAT 1 AND 2 though??

math seems to be your strong point so I would suggest doing other math-related extracurriculars. Research, math competitions, interesting math programs go a long way. because of your awards in other areas you should have a decent chance at all the schools though

HYPSM/Caltech: low-mid reach
UPenn/Columbia/Brown: slightly lower reach
NW: high match
Georgia Tech, drexel, UConn - safety to low match
