Chances of getting into the Window in Williams fly-in program?

I’m a white, middle-class woman from Ohio. I attend a boarding school but am on an almost full scholarship (though this scholarship is more generous than our financial aid should probably warrant, part of it is also merit). I recently took the SAT for the first time and got a 1500 (770 M, 730 EBRW). I’m also student body president, involved in extracurriculars, etc.

I got an email today (not personally, it was to everyone) from the college counselor advertising the Window into Williams program. The blurb said they were seeking high achieving students who would not otherwise be able to visit Williams. I really want to apply, but I’m worried that because I’m white and middle-class (and I attend BOARDING school for Christ’s sake) I won’t fit their target demographic. Does anyone have any insight?

Thanks!

Oh also not sure if this matters either but I’m from a very rural area.

I think you would have a very good chance; they really look through the general information to see what you have accomplished based upon the context of your setting and background. You would bring so much to the campus and Williams is very focused on how the residential experience can be enlivened and enriched with multifaceted students such as yourself. I also think you would enjoy being there as well.
