not too familiar with those schools, but ill do my best. the sat isnt bad, but the gpa isnt all that great. love the ecs. tough classes, but the gpa hurts. chance at umcp, hopefully they recognize your tough schedule, but u shud get into vatech http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1169169-chance-me-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

I like your EC’s. I think that will help.

UMBC-maybe
UMCP-probably need higher SAT, closer to 1900. (really 1250 or so for CR/Math)
Towson-Yes
Salisbury-Don’t know much about them, but I am thinking yes
Goucher-Yes
Viriginia Tech-possibly

Thanks MDdad2012!

Why maybe for UMBC (they’re my goal at the moment)?
Is it because of my SAT score?

This is from 2010 on the UMBC website for the 2010 Freshman profile.
[UMBC: Undergraduate Admissions. Fast Facts](http://www.umbc.edu/undergraduate/learn/fastfacts.html)

Average GPA: 3.6
Average SAT Score: 1204 (critical reading and mathematics)

Bottom 25% average 1100.

Very important admission factors:
Rigor of secondary school record. I think you have this.
Standardized Test Scores. Are you in the 1100’s?
Academic GPA. You appear to be close for this.

I hope you get in. UMBC is a good school.

You know, Goucher sounds like a good school for you. Have you visited yet?

Do you have Naviance at your school? You seem to be a MoCo student from your class listings, so you should have it. That will give you a good tool for your chances.

Yes, I’ve looked into Goucher, not on naviance (yet), but I definately will. My only problems with it are the price and the uneven guy/girl ratio

Yeah, it is out of balance. They do offer merit and financial aid, so maybe it is feasible. Goucher is on my daughter’s list, as well as other MD and PA schools. She really liked Goucher’s campus.
