Chances of Getting Into These Nursing Schools

What are my chances?

Weighted Academic GPA 9-12: 4.05
Weighted Academic GPA 10-12: 4.25
Weighted Total GPA 9-12: 4.04
ACT: 28 so far, taking it again in a few months

UCI Nursing
SDSU Nursing
Point Loma Nursing
USF Nursing
CSULB Nursing
Biola Nursing

ACT needs to be bumped up for the best chances at UCI and SDSU direct admit programs.
USF is a High Match for direct admit.
CSULB is a Match for Pre-Nursing along with Biola and Point Loma.

Good Luck

Accepted at CSU Fullterton
Direct-Entry Nursing
W UC/CSU GPA: 4.08
1280 SAT
31 ACT

CSF is my safety school. Also applied to SDSU, UCLA, UCI direct-entry nursing. Really want SDSU!
@Gumbymom What are my chances at SDSU?

@davisgirl: You look competitive for SDSU but their acceptance rate is lower than CSU Fullerton’s so it is very hard to chance any applicant. I have seen applicants last year that had higher EI’s and lower EI’s than you get in so really difficult to predict. Your EI for SAT and ACT definitely put you in the running and good luck.

@Gumbymom Besides EI, does SDSU look at how rigorous a courseload in Sciences (e.g. AP Biology vs regular). Also do activites even count at CSU’s. And I am Hispanic and bilingual Spanish. Does that help?

@davisgirl: SDSU along with all the Cal States do not consider race/ethnicity in their admission decisions. SDSU will look at Hs course rigor and your grades from the core science courses.

How is your total weighted gpa below your weighted freshman gpa and weighted 10-12 gpa??

It counts classes like PE and other noncore, nonweighted classes and it brings my GPA down. But I think colleges only look at the academic GPA from 10-12 (UC GPA)?
