Chances of getting into Top Graduate Film school with lower gpa from good school

Hi guys, I’m new to this channel. I’m a rising a senior (next year is my last year) and I’m currently 22 (I transferred schools my sophomore year and am a year behind). I study Theatre at Fordham University. I currently have a 3.32 GPA and a 3.65 major gpa. I’m thinking of taking a year off and working on some film stuff (shooting my own shorts in the city, writing etc.) and want to apply to grad school for film the year after. I’m gunna try to build up a resume, if I was wondering if I do get some film experience on my belt, do I have a shot of getting into a top film school such as USC, NYU, or AFI with my 3.3 GPA from Fordham? Does a lower GPA from a more “prestigious” university weigh higher? Any input is welcomed/appreciated. Thank you!
