Chances of Getting into UC Berkeley as an OOS NJ applicant

Ok so UC Berkeley is my dream school
But I want to go there for engineering, which I realize is an extremely competitive field.
Here are my stats/ecs. I go to an extremely competitive school in central NJ (West Windsor-Plainsboro (not going to specify north or south))

GPA: Freshman and Sophomore Year: UW about a 3.7 (disgusting i know) and weighted a 4 flat
this year, with my APs, weighted is a 4.5, and unweighted is around a 3.86. It should go up to around a 4.62 at the end of the year weighted(we don't do anything in AP classes after
May).

SAT: First time a 2270, going to retake in June and hopefully get 2300+

APs/Honors-Freshman year: AP Physics B, Honors Government
Sophomore year : Honors Biology, Honors Chemistry, Honors Pre-Calculus, Honors US History
Junior year: AP Physics C, AP Comp Sci A, AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, Honors Global Studies (Self Study AP Environmnetal and AP Psych)
Senior Year (Predicted): Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, College Composition (an AP english course)

SAT II's: Math II 800, still have to take Physics and can't decide what to take as third one

ECs: New Jersey Science League Physics I team(freshman year) and Physics C(this year)
Science League is an inter school competition that allows kids to take tests in a given subject area. Got second place on my school team for Physics I, Physics C still TBD.
Part of our Science Olympiad Team (got second place at regionals for my event one year)

Science Olympiad is like Science LEague, but it involves the use of practical knowledge, not just test taking skills) (have been doing for sophomore year and this year, plan to do next year)

FBLA- Have been doing since freshman year. Placed 3rd at my event this year in regionals. Have to go to states.

Part of my school's Science Bowl team. Sort of like Jeopardy but with science questions.

Also I am a writer for my school's paper.

I am a part of the executive community for a nonprofit group in my area that helps homeless people get basic needs.

I also have a youtube channel that teaches physics to struggling students. It just works through problems (sort of an aid to Khan Academy).

I also have been tutoring children since my freshman year. I provide NJ ASK( a standardized test for elementary and middle school children) help for math and writing. My students have had fantastic results, with over 95% of them getting scores of "Advanced Proficient" on the exam.

I plan to start my own charity that helps victims of sexual abuse in India get back on their feet by providing them money to start their own businesses.

I also play Indian Violin (have been playing since 6th grade). Participated at numerous venues.

Internships: This summer, I am going to intern with an engineering company (Bosch). I also am going to spend a week in India teaching underprivileged children who attend a free school.

I realize that all UCs (thankfully) does not have Affirmative Action, so this should help me out.

I realize that this is incredibly unorganized and not in the typical "CC" approved format, but I am in a rush for time. It would be great if anyone could assess my situation and give me my chances into getting into UC Berkeley. I genuinely want to go there.

Berkeley: High match (can you pay full-freight?)

I should be able to pay full tuition

Also any other opinions?

What’s your problem with Rutgers? Or Rutgers is your absolute safety?

And I only got a 4 on my AP Physics B Exam :(

We here at WWP have an anything but Rutgers/NJIT philosophy, and I really want to go to UCB

Is there anything I could do now to better my chances?

Also could anyone else provide some additional feedback

Also is a high-match like a 50% chance of getting in… I’m really sorry if I seem naive, but I am new to this site

A high-match is like a 30-40% chance to get in…

Would Carnegie Mellon be a more reasonable school for me?

CMU is about as hard as Berkeley… high match too.

How about Michigan… And how much of a stretch is Cornell?

UCB: Match

UCB - High Match
CMU - High Match
UMich - Match
Cornell - Low Reach

All very doable and worth applying to.

Chance me?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1462104-chances-berkeley-northwestern-cornell.html

UMI: Match
Cornell: Reach

Bump
and Catria is that a high or low reach? What colleges would you recommend I apply to for engineering?

Bump: Please guys any feedback could help. I really want to go to UC Berkeley

Just some food for thought:

If you do get rejected by Berkeley, but accepted to UMich or CMU, you could always work your TAIL off and get accepted as a transfer.

Here’s hoping you get in as a freshman though!

I’d be surprised if you didn’t get in, solely based off of your stats. UC admissions is heavily stats-based, and they need OOS applicants because they need OOS tuition-payers. This is coming from an asian male from NJ with a lot of friends that have been admitted to UCB. Had the UCs not had an earlier application deadline, I might’ve applied too.
