My family is pretty normal. Nothing extraordinary has happened to me so I don't know if that will help at all in my essays.

So what are my chances of getting into UC Berkeley with this resume? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve my chances? I would really appreciate your comments.

You'll more than likely get into UCB. The standards are only Ivy League-esque for out-of-state students. But what are your SAT II scores? Those are important to the top UC's. If you got a 675+ on all your SAT II's, I'm pretty sure you're set. If not, then you'll still DEFINITELY get into UCLA.

I am a resident of CA. I haven't taking SAT IIs yet. I will take them on June 2 though... I'm shooting for 700+ on math IIC and 750+ on chemistry.

The UC schools for in-state students are a refreshingly less sporadic than private schools.

High GPA + High SAT scores (meaning 2100+) + high school w/ good reputation or API scores = acceptance at UCB, UCLA, etc.

At least, this is how it seemed to work out at my high school. I honestly believe that getting into Berkeley as a Californian is a better bet than getting into "lesser" schools like Boston College, Tufts, Colby, etc.

Needless to say, I think you have a great chance.

i think you will definitely get in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not quite as easy, as others seem to think. There are many who have a high GPA/SAT scores and get rejected. But with your stats and ECs/awards, I'd say match.
