Chances of getting into UC Davis?

What are my chances of getting into UC Davis?

I didn't take very many APs so I'm kind of concerned...

Intended Major: Managerial Economics

You need to calculate your UC GPA, see link: <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;
Your stats look competitive. Taking only a few AP’s will only hurt you if your HS offers many AP classes and you did not take advantage. If most of your classmates took only a few, you should be OK. Are you in-state?

UCD: Match/High Match

@Gumbymom‌ My school is ranked top 100 of the nation and offers many AP courses. I didn’t take advantage of these AP courses because I honestly couldn’t handle them.

@hopeanddream: Course rigor is considered important on the UC application, so if your HS courses are not the most rigorous in comparison with your classmates, it may hurt you. I still think you have a decent chance for admission and your SAT is above the average. Make sure you have some safety and match schools on your list.
Also if you felt you couldn’t handle the AP classes at your HS, you may have some problems handling the Curriculum at UCD. My older son (2nd year) at UCD has found the school extremely competitive and challenging and he took 7 AP’s during HS. They are also on the quarter system and you really need to hit the ground running to keep up in your classes.

Good Luck

My son got into Davis from out-of-state, with similar stats, but he did take the most rigorous course-load available at his school (full-IB, with four additional AP classes).

You have a very good shot @ Davis with those stats. Be sure to apply to a back up or two.
