Irvine is my top school and I am wondering if I should get my hopes up or not.
My SAT score is an 1190 and my weighted GPA is a 4.07.
I was rejected from UC Davis but accepted into Cal Poly SLO. Both of these seem harder than Irvine so I’m not sure what to expect
Intended major?
EC’s?
UW UC GPA, Capped Weighted GPA and Fully Weighted GPA according to Rogerhub: https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
My intended major is educational sciences with a backup in psychology. My UC GPA is a 4.08, fully weighted is also a 4.08.
Extracurriculars: almost 200 hours of community service for tutoring chemistry and 400 hours of community service for fundraising at cancer events. Also being a part of a club for 3 years
UCI tends be very GPA focused so your UC GPA is within range. Your SAT however is below the 25th percentile. Your EC’s look good and community service is always a plus.
UCI admits into the University first and then into the major. I think that you have a decent chance at an acceptance for Education Sciences but with another record # of applicants, will not be an easy admit.
Best of luck.
